Content Management: Transformed the digital landscape of the
Plymouth Chronicle, turning it into a viable local news platform and
maximised SERP to challenge industry leading news platforms.


Hand crafted the social media accounts using A/B testing & analytics
utilization. Increasing referral traffic to the website from social
platforms.

Utilised B2B outreach on relevant editorial news stories to ensure maximum
return on engagement.

Brand Management: Spearheaded a successful Plymouth Chronicle
re-branding and advertising campaign to consolidate the brand’s
essence and apply to a dynamic multi-visual format across web & Meta
platforms which increased engagement across social platforms and raising the
brand profile resulting in greater referral traffic and brand recognition.


Website Management:
Managed and updated the Plymouth Chronicle
WordPress website with timely news articles and multimedia content,
ensuring an optimal user experience. Implemented strong SEO
discipline with YOAST tools and implemented Latest Edition’ &
Featured Videos pages to drive website dwell time and increase Google
Rankings.

Introduced related articles to editorial posts, increasing traffic to
‘evergreen’ content.


Ensured general QoL improvements such as image optimisation &
lazy loading. Ensured good practices with Google news initiative to
ensure articles are served on Google News boosting referral traffic by
20%.


Implemented QR codes with appropraite UTM parameters in the
newspaper to maximise cross platform engagement.

Created new ways for readers to engage with print content through QR codes and nurtured the process through social media for maximum return.


Print and Advertising Design & Co-ordination: Designed and
produced print materials, including flyers, leaflets, Event Stands
and advertisements for effective communication using the updated
branding for external clients and internally.

Materials designed and set up by my design and layout.


Coordinated in-paper advertising, collaborating with diverse businesses
to create impactful advertising materials for each edition of the
newspaper.


Built packages to serve multi-platform advertising campaigns across
social media, video, editorial & web content for external clients like
Theatre Royal Plymouth & National Marine Aquarium.


Video Content Production:
Produced high-quality video content to cater
to customer preferences and enhance marketing campaigns in a variety
of different formats for social media, Youtube & web content.


Co-ordinated filming packages for external clients across a broad
spectrum of events and public interest editorial, managed itineraries
and schedules and spearheaded the video content platform to challenge
industry leaders such as BBC Devon and Plymouth Live.

Journalism and editorial content: Creation of interesting and (mostly pet oriented) content for the Plymouth Chronicle, with question and answer interviews formatted into editorial pieces for the newspaper and online to generate primary content for SEO & SERP
